China Media Enter the Era of Rapid Consumption
2008 China media Forum


In 2008, effected by the further deepen financial turmoil of the United States and other developed countries, the downturn of global economic will continue. The global journal industry is hard to make more profit. At the same time, as the consumption standard of mainland Chinese people keeps on raising, and urbanization continues to expand, the bourgeois forms in China. This year, while the global magazine industry is suffering in this hard ice age, the magazine industry in China has made fruitful achievements. A news corporation in Southwest China has consecutively launched 8 kinds of new magazines. By the end of 2008 to 2009, at least 51 kinds of new magazines will be nurtured in Beijing. In the wake of changing lifestyle, Print Media transforms the products from mass culture to a smaller scale. Free high-end magazines, design magazines, city magazines, financial magazines stand out ... ... Meanwhile, with China's rapid development of urban transportation, the free Metro newspaper, catering to lifestyle and rhythm of the modern time, is catching people’s eyes as a new favorite. What do all these mean?

In 2005, the Sino Audit Data Center held the First China’s Media Operation and Management Forum. Since then, it has held three media operation and management forum respectively, themed with "China Media’s Publication in the International Environment”, "The Interactive Integration of Traditional Media and New Media ", "New Technology-driven The Future of the Media Publication Industry ".

Three forums were supported by the Press and Publication Administration and the Journal of the International Alliance of China Periodicals Association, China Association of Newspapers, and attracted well-known domestic and foreign personage in media publication industry, network media, mobile communications service providers, large-scale advertising. A total of more than 1,000 business people attended. China’s media operation and management forum catch up with times, combined with the annual heated topic to have a high-level discussion which has become the influential high-end feast in the field of media and publication.

The forum this year will focus on the unexploited territory of magazines and free distributed newspaper in China. Intergraded with the category of the media of most concerned at present, we has invited well-known domestic and foreign-invested enterprises as well as the media group to have an in-depth discussions of the coming media industry trends in China.
